Spring break is often filled with plans – family time, rest, travel, or simply enjoying a slower pace of life. This year, Hillsborough County schools will be on spring break from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20, 2026.
But for some of our local families, spring break brings an added layer of stress.
For many children, school isn’t just a place to learn – it’s also where they receive consistent meals and support. When school is out, those meals disappear, and families who are already stretching every dollar are left to figure out how to fill the gap.
At Seeds of Hope, we see this firsthand. Food insecurity doesn’t pause for holidays or school breaks – and that’s why community support matters so much during times like these.
This spring break, we invite you to help in any way that feels right for you:
🥫 Pick up a few extra grocery items during your next shopping trip
💛 Make a small donation if you’re able -even a few dollars helps us serve more families
🤝 Volunteer your time to help us prepare and distribute food locally
There’s no pressure and no expectation – just an opportunity to care for our neighbors in a meaningful, tangible way.
Together, small acts add up. A few extra items. A few extra dollars. A few extra hands. All of it helps ensure that families in our community have what they need while school is out.
