Before we know it, fall will be here. *Then Thanksgiving. *Then the holidays. And at Seeds of Hope, we are already looking forward to another season filled with community, connection, generosity and opportunities to make a difference for local families…
🌱 Thank You for Showing Up… Can We Fill the Rest of the Day?
One of our favorite things to see each week is how quickly our Thursday afternoon and evening volunteer spots fill up. To every high school student, parent, grandparent, neighbor, and friend who signs up week after week… thank you. Your generosity makes our Thursday food distributions possible, and we couldn’t do it without you. But here’s a little behind-the-scenes secret… Our Thursday distributions are really an all-day event….
📚 Back to School Already?! Let’s Make This School Year About More Than Just Classes.
As families begin shopping for school supplies, organizing schedules, signing up for sports, clubs, music lessons, and activities, there’s one more opportunity worth adding to this year’s calendar… Giving back…
The Empty Seat
Summer has a way of changing our routines. The alarm clocks aren’t quite as important. The school lunches take a break. The kids sleep in, spend time with friends, splash in pools, go on adventures, and occasionally wander through the house asking, “What are we doing today?” For many families, summer means more time together. More family dinners. More cookouts. More opportunities to gather around a table and enjoy the people we love….
Make This Summer Count with Seeds of Hope ☀️💛
Summer break is almost here… and while sleeping in, vacations, and pool days are always fun, this summer could also become an opportunity to make a REAL difference right here in our community. At Seeds of Hope, we believe kindness can start at ANY age. Whether your child needs volunteer hours, wants something meaningful to do this summer, loves helping others, or simply wants to spend time doing something positive and rewarding – there are so many ways to get involved!…
🌱 Volunteers needed for Thursday AM Slots 💛
At Seeds of Hope, our afternoon and evening volunteer shifts fill quickly – often with incredible high school students who bring energy and heart to everything they do. But the earlier hours… the quieter shifts between 10 AM and 6 PM… those are where we could use a few more helping hands.
Seeds of Hope: Growing More Than Food
Since 2009, Seeds of Hope has been serving our community with one simple mission: To provide food assistance to people in need and meaningful community service for our students. What began as a small idea has grown into something truly special here in Lithia and the FishHawk area…
🎶 Get Ready for Music, Prizes & Purpose – Seeds of Hope Music Bingo Night!
Mark your calendars and get ready for one of our most FUN nights of the year! 🎉 Seeds of Hope is thrilled to invite our community to our Music Bingo Night on Thursday, March 26th — and this year is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever!
Spring Break Isn’t a Break from Hunger
Spring break is often filled with plans – family time, rest, travel, or simply enjoying a slower pace of life. This year, Hillsborough County schools will be on spring break from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20, 2026. But for some of our local families, spring break brings an added layer of stress.
There’s a Place for You at Seeds of Hope 💛
At Seeds of Hope, volunteering doesn’t just fill a time slot – it fills a need, builds community, and reminds people they’re not alone.
Every week, we are incredibly grateful to see our high school volunteers jump in quickly to support our Monday and Wednesday food item deliveries and our Thursday distributions. From 4:00–7:00 PM, those shifts often fill fast – and we love seeing young people show up with such heart. Thank you and YEAH!!! 👏
