There’s something special about showing up when it’s not only the “popular” time.
At Seeds of Hope, our afternoon and evening volunteer shifts fill quickly – often with incredible high school students who bring energy and heart to everything they do. But the earlier hours… the quieter shifts between 10 AM and 6 PM… those are where we could use a few more helping hands.
And truthfully? Those hours matter just as much. Food insecurity doesn’t always look the way people expect. Sometimes it’s quiet. Sometimes it’s temporary. But it’s always real.
Volunteering during these earlier time slots isn’t just about filling a gap – it’s about being present in moments that truly count.
If your schedule allows, consider joining us for one of these shifts:
• 10 AM – 1 PM
• 12 PM – 3 PM
• 3 PM – 6 PM
You’ll be part of something simple, meaningful, and deeply human – neighbors helping neighbors.

Sometimes the most impactful moments happen when fewer people are around to see them. And those are sometimes the moments that matter most.
