One of our favorite things to see each week is how quickly our Thursday afternoon and evening volunteer spots fill up.
To every high school student, parent, grandparent, neighbor, and friend who signs up week after week… thank you. Your generosity makes our Thursday food distributions possible, and we couldn’t do it without you.
But here’s a little behind-the-scenes secret…
Our Thursday distributions are really an all-day event.
Long before families arrive in the evening, volunteers are busy sorting donations, organizing food, packing, setting up, and preparing everything for a successful distribution. While our 4:00–7:00 PM student volunteer spots are almost always full (and we’re incredibly grateful!), our daytime shifts often have room for more helping hands.
