🌱 A New School Year, A New Season & So Much Ahead!

by Aug 17, 2026Food Pantry, General, Holidays, Turkey Trot

*The backpacks have been packed.
*The first-day photos have been taken.
*The alarm clocks are suddenly going off much earlier.
*And just like that…summer is beginning to fade into the rearview mirror.

Where did it go?!

Here in Florida, we may still be dealing with 90-degree temperatures and afternoon thunderstorms, but there is something about the start of a new school year that makes us start looking ahead.

Before we know it, fall will be here.
*Then Thanksgiving.
*Then the holidays.

And at Seeds of Hope, we are already looking forward to another season filled with community, connection, generosity and opportunities to make a difference for local families.

As we look back on a successful Backpack & School Supply season, we are reminded of something wonderful: our community doesn’t just show up once.

It shows up again and again.

Throughout the year, there are families facing difficult moments, children who need a little extra support, neighbors who could use a helping hand and opportunities for all of us to come together.

And somehow, when a community comes together, hope has a way of growing. 🌱

We have so much to look forward to in the months aheadβ€”and yes, we know many of you are already wondering…

πŸ¦ƒ Is the Turkey Trot coming back?

Absolutely!

Our annual Turkey Trot is one of the events we look forward to every year, and while registration details are still being finalized, we couldn’t resist giving you a little heads-up.

πŸ‘Ÿ Start stretching.
πŸ¦ƒ Start gathering your running and walking buddies.
πŸ‚ And keep an eye out…because Turkey Trot news will be coming soon!

But the Turkey Trot is just one part of what makes this time of year so special.

As one season ends and another begins, we’re grateful to live in a community where people care about their neighbors. Sometimes that care comes in the form of a backpack. Sometimes it’s a bag of groceries. Sometimes it’s a donation, a shared idea, a local business partnership or simply one person recognizing that they have something they can share.

We don’t always know what someone else is going through.

But we can always remember that even a small act of kindness can become part of something much bigger.

So as we all settle into new school schedules, busy calendars and the fast-moving months ahead, we hope you’ll continue following along with Seeds of Hope.

*There is more to come.
*More community.
*More opportunities.
*More events.
*More reasons to come together.

And, of course…
